Squirrels, Cody, and London
Many times, the Fall reminds me of the semester I spent in London with 40 or so other college students including my future husband. It has been 13 years, but sometimes it seems like yesterday. I was a fresh-faced 18 year old girl, with a big crush on a cute, very thin, basketball playing Texan named Cody. Cody and I roamed around the city quite a bit together. One time we took a picnic to Regent's Park. It was beautiful. Personally, I believe it was the prettiest park in London. Back in those days, and even these days (though not as strongly), I had a thing for squirrels. I think squirrels are pretty darn cute. I like to watch them run around and swish their fluffy tails. At Regent's Park, it was a squirrel-lover's dream come true. Those squirrels were the tamest I have ever seen. They came up and ate food right out of our hands. They would jump onto our jeans and climb us like trees. We stayed and played with the squirrels for as long as Cody could stand it and thankfully did not contract rabies. That was a fairly care-free semester. Picnicking and frolicking with the squirrels. (I was about to add- and frolicking with Cody, but then I remembered that his mom reads this blog...oh well, now it's out and I am not taking it back. We've been married almost 10 years and given her 3 grandchildren so I think she can take it.)

You are a HOOT and yes I can take it.......remember I was your age once, altho I know you think I am quite elderly.....and those grandchildren really do surpass most anything you can throw my way!
You crack me up---I love your honesty, or should I say bluntness! I actually think about you every time I see a squirrel, which is daily around our house. I was just wondering the other day if you still had that squirrel fettish.
You love squirrels and hate dogs! :)
I'm with Brandy! I think about you a lot when I see squirrels too. Of course, as I recall, they're really ferrets in disguise, plotting to take over the world, starting with Harding.
