Wipeout

ABC will be glad to know that its new summer show Wipeout is perfect for four year olds. This prime time show directly appeals to preschoolers with its ridiculous material as people fall all over the place while trying to complete impossible obstacle courses. And really that is my one beef about the show. The obstacle courses are IMPOSSIBLE. There is no way anyone can do them without wiping out, which I guess is the point of the show. They are banking that people find it funny when others do face-plants on gigantic bouncy balls or when people get punched in the face while trying to cross a wall full of punching gloves. I would like the show better if anyone actually had a chance of being successful, but it's just one wipeout after another. They can't eliminate anyone for failing the course, because everyone does. They decide who gets to move on to the next stupid activity by fastest times. This show gets old for me in about 2 minutes. But my four year old can watch the hour long show happily absorbed.
