Bargain Shopping

I went shopping today for the first time in ages.  A friend told me about a store near our neighborhood called Half of Half.  It is full of clothes from department stores and other mall stores (like Ann Taylor Loft), and all of the prices are at least 75% off.

The clothes are really packed in tight, sizes are "sort of" grouped together, but can be spread out over a large area, and you really have to check the clothing carefully for tears, stains, or broken zippers.  It's not for the faint-of-heart shopper.  It's for Super Bargain Shoppers, like myself.

I spent an hour and a half pouring over the racks of clothing and grabbed an armful of steals. See below!

First, I nabbed a drop-dead gorgeous sleeveless little black evening dress.  I also found a dark brown short sleeve sweater shirt, and red and blue dressy t-shirts.

This picture doesn't do justice to the beauty of this embroidered brown skirt and beaded navy skirt.
I also picked up a funky pair of blue jeans with roses and other designs on them.  They were so comfortable.  I loved them.  And I got a similar pair of jeans for Ava.
Finally, I found a great lightweight pair of olive colored roll tab pants and a knee-length pair of dark stretchy denim shorts.
And the grand total for all of these items?  All of these brand name items including a cocktail dress?  $86.  I think I will be going back to this store.  It's a good find.

No kidding. Next shopping outing, I am going there. Thanks for letting us know. You also helped me a ton with that awesome J Jill sale. Please keep letting us know. Your clothes are beautiful!

I've been there twice now. The first time I found one shirt that I liked. It was $6...had a coupon for $5 off...so a shirt for $1! Not bad! You definitely have to dig and I normally don't have the time to really look. It would be a good place to go with a friend so you could both dig together.

Great buys but I just don't have the patience or endurance needed for this project. My hat's off to you!
