At the kids' school, there is a special curriculum event called clusters. It's the first time our school has participated in this enrichment program. The teachers and some volunteers prepare courses on special topics which the kids choose from then attend once a week for 5 or 6 weeks. Each group is small and student led. Meaning, the kids get to basically decide which direction to go as far as what exactly to learn/experience and how to learn/experience it. Ava is in a book-making class. I am teaching a poetry class for 3-6th graders. Nate is in a photography class. And boy is he loving it! I let him take an older digital camera of ours to his cluster this week and these are a few of the photos he took. I was really impressed!

Wow - I'm impressed, too! Good little pictures :)!
Way to go, Nate!
Excellent pictures by Nate! I remember fondly a program that we did like that when I was in 5th grade. I took a course on architecture...can still tell you which houses are Greek Revival and can spot an Ionic Column a mile away!
