Secret

I can't tell you what I'm doing because it would ruin the surprise for the people involved...but I can say I'm on a mission.  I'm on a mission to bake something that is tricky, foreign, and unlike anything I've ever made before.

And step one of my mission involved pulling out my grandmother's old candy thermometer.  Isn't this thing cool?  It's still in the original box and comes with a little booklet of candy recipes.  I think it's from the 1940's.  It still works great!

But will this ancient tool be able to help me complete my complicated, daring mission?
